I write with a belated but very enthusiastic THANK YOU for your generous sponsorship of the band and auctioneer at our recent fundraising event. We well and truly exceeded our target- more than $40,000 was raised to continue our campaign to "save" our school swimming pool from closure! The dinner dance, held at Pymble Golf Club, was also a fun night with the positive spirit among guests boosted by the high standard of auction items and raffle prizes which had been donated to a good cause. Luschwitz was much discussed and therefore a public relations opportunity was taken among 90 North Shore Sydney couples aged 30-50. We hope you experience a flow on effect as a result. When our 350 children begin term 4 this year the school swimming pool will be sparkling and waiting for their return to swimming in class groups twice a week. The complete refurbishment of the pool area and change-rooms is being done in stages while it is in use, so what a great outcome! Thanks again for your generosity as it really helped to restore a proud Australian tradition of fitness through swimming at Sacred Heart School.
